2032...signe des temps - sign of the times

Astrologiquement parlant, 2032 représente la fin de ce sextile entre Neptune et Pluton d'une durée de 80 ans (qui a débuté en 1950) et durant lequel s'opère le tri entre l'ancien paradigme, celui de la Renaissance, et le nouveau qui a quand même débuté en 1892 déjà. Qu'allons-nous garder... qu'allons-nous rejeter ?

Astrologically, the Neptune/Pluto sextile which began in 1950 is due to end in 2032. This 80-year period is considered a sorting out time between the old (in this instance the Renaissance paradigm) and the (still) new one which began in 1892. What is there for us to keep or discard ?

Curieusement, la prochaine votation en Suisse nous laisse entrevoir la prolongation-normalisation de l'actuel état d'urgence et son évidente dérive autocratique d'Etat exécutif,  jusqu'en... 2032 justement, si tant est que la Loi Covid est acceptée par le peuple, pas sûr... mais menaçant. En bref, on en prendrait pour 10 ans.

The temptation of an autocratic state (ruled quasi exclusively by the Executive power) looms large in Switzerland if the "Covid law" which the citizens will vote on in June is accepted by the double majority of people and cantons. Not sure at all but a real threat.  In a nutshell, we'd get a 10-year sentence until ...2032.

Comme aucun parti, si ce n'est la droite UDC, ne s'y oppose, on peut se demander si le Parlement n'est pas en train de mettre en scène son propre sabordage. Vous me direz que son insignifiance qui ne date pas d'hier est aujourd'hui criante.

As no political party -with the exception of the UDC rightist party - opposes it, it feels like Parliament may actively and enthusiastically take part in its own disappearance. Its increasing insignificance and absence has lately become strikingly conspicuous.

"Faire de la volonté populaire le principe de la vie sociale revient à déifier l'arbitraire humain" (N. Berdiaev). Et si la démocratie n'était pas le nec plus ultra ? Et la démocratie parlementaire touchait à sa fin ?

"To turn the will of the people into the principle of social life only reifies human arbitrariness" (N. Berdiaev - my translation). And if democracy was not the ultimate and Parliamentary democracy going down the drain ?

Si l'on se tournait à nouveau vers une aristocratie ? Non comme classe sociale mais comme principe spirituel qui contrairement à l'ancienne n'exclut personne et ne vise pas à s'élever ni à se servir comme le fait l'élite encore en place mais à servir...

And if we turned to a new Aristocracy ? Not as a class of limited happy few but as a spiritual principle whose aim -  unlike the present elite endlessly accumulating wealth and prestige -  is to serve.

Et si 2032 signait cette nouvelle ère... je vois dans les résistants au grand mensonge pandémique déployé par l'élite au pouvoir,  des gens joyeux, vivants, conscients et motivés et bénévoles pour lesquels le bien commun n'est pas un gros mot.

And if 2032 was the herald of that new era ? I see in many of the activists I meet in this big pandemic lie engineered by the power elite a joyful, alive, conscious, dedicated crowd. For them common-wealth is an evidence.

Someone in the audience asked Stephane Hessel ("Indignez-vous") what to do : "dis-arming the world financial power " (my translation). This is what we should be up to ....  spiritually and otherwise...
